Job description: The administrative assistant will be knowledgeable about our company culture, philosophy, andour AEA STEAM program and curriculum. He or she will be responsible, along with othermanagement personnel for conducting tours, communicating in an informative and professionalway, to gain enrollment from prospective families. In addition, the administrative assistant willmaintain ongoing communication with families not enrolled to ensure successful performancemetrics and updated information in our tech platform. This position will also be responsible forsome of the day to day administration of the school such as maintaining children files and andstudent to teacher ratios.Responsibilities:

  • Accountability in all aspects of the operation
  • Ensures School compliance with all state-mandated teacher-child ratios; state and

municipal statutes and regulations relating to the operation of childcare Schools; stateand federal wage and hour laws; and Company policies and procedures.

  • Oversees and maintain all training hours required by the state.
  • Trains and develops talent by establishing performance standards; communicates clear

performance expectations to school staff, verbally and in writing.

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the center and maintains supervisory

responsibility of all school staff.

  • Supervises and coaches staff members.
  • Promotes a culture of innovation, empowerment, and accountability.
  • Manages school staff by planning break and planning schedules to cover classrooms

and maintain child teacher ratios.

  • Participates in monthly staff meetings.
  • Creates a newsletter for staff members with information about career promotions,

teaching strategies and suggestions.

  • Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy environment of center
  • Models appropriate and professional behavior.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the director of the school.
  • Follows the guidelines of the AEA branding manual for social media postings.
  • Conducts tours
  • Enters visitors and tours in the AEA APP
  • Participates in community events and professional associations.
  • Builds relationships with parents.
  • Meets with the parents to discuss situations and develop improvement plans.
  • One on ones with teachers

Qualifications

  • Meet state requirements for the administrative assistant position.
  • Hold a minimum bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field;

master’s degree preferred.

  • Have at least four years of experience in a licensed childcare facility, with a minimum of

two years in a management or supervisory role

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Possess the ability to multitask, respond promptly to emails, and keep systems updated.
  • Show evidence of emotional intelligence and crisis management skills
  • Be physically capable of performing tasks such as bending, stooping, and liIing to 50

pounds regularly.
